Non-EU citizens
who do not possess an e-ID Account and other special cases
Non-EU citizens and other students who, for some reason, do not possess
an e-ID account and therefore cannot submit an online application are being
requested to submit a hard copy application downloadable from here.
If a student applies using a hard-copy application, it is imperative to
re-apply online once the e-ID is provided, inserting a remark on the online
application that a hard-copy application was already submitted.
Block letters are to be
used to fill in the form and both sheets of the application are to be
signed by the applicant.
The original form, together with the necessary documentation,
is to be returned to the Students’ Maintenance Grants’ Unit, Room 122,
Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation through the Edu
Servizz.gov, Great Siege Road, Floriana by the end of 31st December 2024 in
order to receive the full entitlement of stipends and grants if found eligible.
Students submitting their hard copy application after 31st December of the respective academic year will be
considered for Stipends and Grants from the date of submission of application.
Compulsory
Documents Required from all students:
a.
A recent
version of the Jobsplus Employment History can be downloaded from https://jobsplus.gov.mt

Employment History
Students who never worked and do not have any employment records with
Jobsplus should still download their “empty employment history record” from the same
Jobsplus site.
First Year students will
also require to provide:
a. a scanned copy of all pages of
the Secondary School-Leaving Certificate and
Profil and
b. documentary proof of 5
years in Malta prior to date of application.
NOTES:
Students coming from
countries outside the EU are to apply for an official letter of Exemption from
School Fees by contacting Mr Victor Agius on 25982260 or via email on victor.b.agius@gov.mt. One can also visit the Edu Servizz.gov
/ One Stop shop at the Ministry for
Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, Great Siege Road, Floriana.
It opens for public from Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00 and also on
Wednesday from 16:30 to 19:00.
a. The Students’ Maintenance
Grants’ Board reserves the right to request additional documentation if this is
deemed necessary in its assessment of certain individual cases.
b. Non-EU citizens may be requested to
submit any other proof of nationality besides the scan of a valid ID
card/residence permit, (both front and back), and documentary proof of 5 years
residence in Malta prior to date of application for first years.
