Aqra fis-Sajf Summer Reading Campaign 2023:

Students’ Summer Work Opportunity

General Overview

Summer Work Experience

As part of the national reading campaign Aqra fis-Sajf, the National Literacy Agency (NLA) will continue organising fun educational programmes to promote language and literacy during summer 2023.

Aqra fis-Sajf officials will be delivering animated reading sessions, in both Maltese and English. Sessions will be delivered in-person and/or online. Officials will be expected to be available for work from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for the whole duration of the summer working phase (i.e. Phase 1 and Phase 2), excluding the 14th to the 18th August 2023.

Selected officials will be provided with Maltese and English books, suitable for read aloud and shared reading, to enable them to carry out these reading sessions. They will be expected to prepare and plan sessions, implement a variety of reading activities during the reading session,  as well as keep a detailed record of work. It is also the responsibility of the Aqra fis-Sajf officials to ensure that any competitions or activities related to the campaign are effectively carried out.
